    Dr. Charles A. Whitehurst is a TVC project manager working with ANL, BNL, ORNL (Y-12), and SRNL.  He came to this position with over 40 years of experience, including 25 years in academic teaching, research and laboratory development.  As a consultant to EPA, Dr. Whitehurst helped the agency established several ground water research programs and managed the Hazardous Waste Groundwater Water Task Force under congressional oversight.  He has served as director of a NASA R&D laboratory, director of the New Mexico Technology Research Collaborative, and as a consultant for major corporations, government agencies, investment firms and small businesses. He has also been involved in several startup business operations. In these positions he has been responsible for technical, financial and marketing activities. He earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
