IDAHO FALLS —Shawn Perkins has been appointed as the Technology Ventures Corporation Idaho Area Administrator. The announcement was made by John Freisinger, Technology Ventures Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer.
Perkins will support TVC’s mission of technology commercialization by collaborating with the Idaho National Laboratory, the Eastern Idaho technology-based community, and research universities. He will represent TVC in the Idaho Falls area. “I look forward to assisting laboratory and other entrepreneurs in starting and growing their technology-based enterprises and finding equity funding. It is an honor to join Technology Ventures Corporation, he said.”
Perkins is an attorney, a member of the Brigham Young University Management Society and has served on several local Idaho boards of directors. He has led his own successful entrepreneurial endeavors and is experienced in science, technology, engineering and math educational initiatives.
Technology Ventures Corp. is a nonprofit, charitable foundation funded by both Lockheed Martin Corporation and the Department of Energy. TVC specifically serves the Department of Energy laboratories. TVC is a bridge between technology and private investment sectors for the commercialization of technologies.
